$48 Million Replacement of West Point Elementary School

Waller, Todd & Sadler is collaborating on the design of the replacement elementary school on the campus of the West Point Military Academy. To meet DoDEA’s vision for progressive learning environments, the design team is pushing the envelope in the field of flexibility. Rather than traditional classrooms, the school features learning studios arranged around collaboration hubs. Glass operable walls connect the learning studios to the hubs, as well as pairs of studios to one another, providing almost limitless flexibility. The school will contain almost no fixed casework, allowing teachers to quickly arrange and rearrange their environment.
