Waller, Todd and Sadler Architects provided architectural services for this multi-story, 252,982 square foot Operations Center at DLA/DSCR, Richmond, Virginia. The Phase I Operations Center is adequately sized and configured to provide support for Defense Logistics Agency- Aviation (DLA Aviation) administrative and operational space and support 875 people. DLA Aviation is the aviation supply and demand chain manager for the Defense Logistics Agency. The mission of the DLA Aviation is to support the nation’s war fighters by providing quality items when and where they need them and at the best value. DLA Aviation serves as the primary source of supply for nearly 1.2 million repair parts and operating supply items. The administrative building includes Commanding General Officer suite, open and individual administrative office areas, and administrative support areas. There is access control, lobby exhibit and reception space, information processing center, secure operational and unclassified conference and Video Tele-Conference (VTC) space; multi use and distance learning classrooms; conference space, Command & Control Center (CCC) with uninterruptible power supply (UPS), generators and fuel storage.
