Williams Farm Community Recreation Center Wins 2013 Virginia Beach Planning Commission Award
Waller, Todd & Sadler Architects is pleased to announce that Williams Farm Community Recreation Center has been awarded the 2013 Virginia Beach Planning Commission Design Honor Award in the Public Facilities category! The purpose of Virginia Beach Planning Commissioning awards program is to showcase outstanding quality and innovative design solutions in the built environment, which have furthered the design principles of the City’s various Design Guidelines to enhance the general community appearance of the City of Virginia Beach.
Williams Farm Recreation Center is a LEED “Silver” 71,000 s.f. community recreation center containing a gymnasium, classrooms, office space, locker rooms, fitness spaces, and a recreational aquatic space, outdoor water spray-ground, outdoor playground, outdoor basketball court, a 25,000 s.f. skateboard park, picnic facilities, parking lot, adjacent picnic shelters and restrooms, walking paths, and associated site and utility work.
